A 53-year-old man is dead after a shooting in a home in Manor Park.
Emergency crews were called to the area of Birch Avenue and Hemlock Road at approximately 9:22 p.m. Friday, Ottawa police wrote in a statement Saturday morning.
They found the man with life-threatening injuries. Police said he died at the scene shortly after.
No arrests have been made.
Police said the shooting appears to have been targeted and they don’t believe there is an ongoing risk to public safety.
The victim’s name hasn’t been released pending notification of his next of kin.
The investigation is ongoing.
