Josiah Claybrooks ran for 165 yards and a touchdown as Kirkwood football picked up a signature win, beating Rossview 12-3.
Kirkwood offensive lineman Kamari Blair has picked up an offer from Tennessee football and coach Josh Heupel.
The 6-foot-6, 285-pound Blair announced the offer on social media on May 13.
Blair is a four-star recruit according to the 247Sports Composite and ranked No. 9 in Tennessee for the class of 2026, as well as No. 28 nationally among offensive linemen. He began his high school career as a tight end and moved to left tackle as a sophomore, picking up his first offers — from Eastern Kentucky and New Mexico State — soon after.
The Vols are the 28th team to offer Blair, as well as the seventh SEC school and 21st Power Four program. Blair’s other offers include Florida State, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin.
Blair led Kirkwood to an 8-3 record and its first appearance in the TSSAA football playoffs in 2024. He had 56 pancake blocks and a 90% blocking grade at left tackle and helped the Cobras average 27.3 points per game while also occasionally playing defensive line. He was named first-team All Area by the Leaf-Chronicle as well as All-Region 7-6A.
