Continuing with its mission to enhance well-being through human-centric design, Belgian design brand BuzziSpace adds another innovative design to its portfolio of acoustic solutions. Designed in collaboration with American product designer, interior architect, and art director Cory Grosser, the new BuzziShroom addresses the common issue of noise in public settings while also providing illumination. Drawing inspiration from nature, its mushroom-shape structure captivates with its fully upholstered base and shade, minimalist lines, and a rounded silhouette.
Unlike most acoustic lighting solutions that require ceiling or wall mounting, BuzziShroom can simply be plugged into an outlet and positioned as needed in public areas. It creates a soft, diffused glow, intended to foster a calming ambiance rather than focused task lighting.
The lamp’s thick foam body is highly efficient at absorbing sound in busy environments, effectively reducing low, mid, and high tones. Each BuzziShroom is meticulously upholstered and stitched by hand by BuzziSpace’s manufactory in the Netherlands, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship. To complement various interior styles, the lamp is available in a wide range of colors, with options to match or mix the shade and base. With its whimsical yet elegant shape, multifunctional capabilities, and diverse color choices, the BuzziShroom is a perfect enhancement for residential, hospitality, and work environments.
