Today, the National Book Foundation announced the longlist for the 2024 National Book Award for Young People’s Literature. The ten titles were selected from a pool of 333 books submitted for consideration by their publishers. This year’s judges for Young People’s Literature are Rose Brock, Huda Fahmy, Leah Johnson, Mike Jung, and Brein Lopez (Chair).
The finalists will be announced on Tuesday, October 1, and the winners in all categories will be revealed at the National Book Awards Ceremony on November 20, 2024.
