The Talat Noi neighborhood is an under-appreciated destination in Bangkok, a historic area only recently revitalized by a makeover that turned it into a street art district.
In the middle of it is the so-called “Dragon Roundabout,” where there stands a sculpture of a dragon. At first glance, it’s not such a striking piece, but look closer and you’ll find that it is actually quite unique.
Making up the dragon sculpture is an array of metal utensils, such as those used in Chinese cooking, including soup spoons. The pedestal is adorned with rusty gears and whatnot, used car parts commonly seen in the alleys of Talat Noi.
